Love the software! Incorporates info from previous filings, has good reminders of items to include and clear instructions and definitions. So far, we haven't found an issue it could not handle for us.
What's great about it: Good, clear instructions

Overly Cautious

I have enjoyed using TurboTax for over 10 years. I like the fact that everything is current and up to date and I don't have to do the research every year. I get irritated by all of the questions within each category, but I realize that it is just being thorough and making sure I don't miss anything. Thanks for making me take the time to make sure my tax return is accurate.
What's great about it: Very thorough

Made Tax Preparation a "Breeze"

Everything was GREAT !!
The only thing I would suggest is that TurboTax would maximize deductions for Mentally/Physically Disabled Dependent Adult Children. Publication 502 (Capital Expenses, ie.).

All this being said, it will be sad to pass into a taxing situation where I will no longer be in the self-employment sector, so I will not find it necessary to use Turbo Tax for this tax year, however, should I be lucky enough to line up some legitimate self-employment, "I WILL BE BACK!!". Thanks for the RIDE !!!
What's great about it: Accuracy and Working with the Error Segment of the software
What's not so great: Advise User to keep a printed copy of the previous Tax Year handy for reference and number placement in the proper spot
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

simple and straight forward

whether your a first timer, like i was 15 yrs ago or a user for many years they make doing taxes easy. All you have to do is keep good records in one place, bring them out, and punch in your info when asked, they guide you every step of the way !

Very painless

The program was very intuitive and made filing as painless as tax preparation can be. All the steps were backed up with additional information you could reference so that you were sure to have located the correct documents. It was nice to keep all ones financial documents at home and not have to cart them off to a CPA or tax preparer.
What's great about it: all the steps were backed up with additional information you could reference.
What's not so great: If unsure of whether you have certain deductions it can lead you down a long path.
