There were alot of things that I wish were more specific for 1099 forms, I felt like alot of things that I could write off got left out because it was too general and I wasn't sure where they should go.
What's great about it: Got my taxes done
What's not so great: Felt like alot of specifics were too generalized
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax - great experience

I have used Turbo Tax for several years. This was my second year to file for our small business. The first year didn't even require a 1099! Learning the specific documents that needed to be kept and reviewed before sitting down to file was intense. I spent many hours just going back over my business activity for last year to sort the information into the appropriate categories. Once that was done, the actual filling out of the forms went easily.
What's great about it: Thorough, Quick, Comprehensive
What's not so great: Learning what info I needed for Schedule C

Why I Love Turbo tax

I dont know how long I've been using the program, it seems like forever. It is very efficient and almost like talking to a tax consultant. I have great confidence in the results and appreciate the lack of aggravation that used to accompany doing our taxes by hand.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Cant think of any

With TurboTax each year is easier

It is so easy to file your tax returns when the previous years data and experiences are brought forward to the current year of TurboTax usage. A tremendous amount of time is saved and frustrations are greatly reduced. Do a good job with your first year of TurboTax and the next years will be a snap.
What's great about it: The transfer of prior year information.
What's not so great: Some difficulty in finding enough detail to make the correct choice.

Very Simple and Straight Forward

We love how Turbo Tax is very simple and straight forward. The guided questions makes filing taxes not seem as daunting. We love that this program files for us, and we do not have to worry about mailing anything out that could get lost.

Great comfort level details!

For some reason, preparing a tax return is scary. Your general "comfort level" terminology and clear descriptions of what is needed certainly make clear something that can be confusing to us non-accountants who consider ourselves lucky to balance a checkbook. Your questions are unambiguous and your Help function is indeed helpful. Thanks!
