Overall easy to use, no more time consuming than gathering data for a tax preparer. Like ti e-file option for both federal and state. Only downside is not allowing the use of the same state for more than one use as the federal part does.
What's great about it: Easy to follow step by step instructions
What's not so great: Difficult to get answers for unusual situations

TurboTax made preparing tax return easier

I have been a TurboTax customer for many years. The TurboTax made it easier for me to prepare my tax return. It automatically collected much information from your previous tax return and filled it in your new tax return. What you need to do is just review that information still stands for the new year. It also help you to get your tax information from your financial organizations automatically !
What's great about it: easier for returned customer
Pros: I moved, I had a baby, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Year after Year

I have been using Turbo-Tax for many many years. It carries my personal information forwards to the next year to minimize re-entry of basic information, etc. We are a retired couple with empty nest, and we are giving a lot of old stuff away. "It's Deductable" is worth every cent of the program cost and more.

Extremely User Friendly

This is an extremely user friendly program with detailed step-by-step guides in preparing taxes. No need to spend (and waste) the time in a tax preparer's office. I like the fact I can prepare my return either all at once or at my leisure in the comfort of my home. Thanks Turbo Tax for a great product that makes tax preparation less stressful.
What's great about it: Very detailed step by step tax walk through in the comfort of my home.
What's not so great: None.

Turbo needs help in providing help

In the review of my forms, I kept getting message on an error that needed to be fixed but there was no guidance on where this error had occured or exactly what it was. A simple highlight of the error and where it was occuring might have eased my frustration instead of requiring me to go over the entries a dozen more times to find it. Also, references and abbreviations were made to additional state or federal forms but no link or explanations were made of what these forms were for. Had to research it on my own outside of Turbo Tax. Lastly, yet still irritating, was the instructions of when and how to print my form for review. These did not come up until after I had printed out the forms for filing (which will be a big waste of paper should there be an error).
What's great about it: Quickly and easily guided from one section to next
What's not so great: Little guidance in how to correct an error

TurboTax Did It Again!

I have never paid anyone to do my taxes for me, I have always done them with Turbo Tax and hopefully I always will! I actually do my whole families, and sometimes a friend or two...since you can do 5 Returns with one purchased TurboTax! Thanks Again! See you at tax time next year!
What's great about it: This is the best version yet, with easy to find tax info to make sure We get it right!! Way to go Turbo Tax!
