took me on state refund costs

costs for state was uncalled for it hasn't cost for previous years and once it has been programmed it is no expense to you to file my state. It's a program that has worked for years, if it ain't broke don't fix it and then charge me FOR WHAT
What's not so great: was not told on package that state would cost as much as fed

What's great about it: easy, accurate, love it!
What's not so great: paying for filing state...
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great help, especially when I had to make a call to your customer assistance agent fto resolve a glitch with my federal return due to some Roth money I withdrew during the year whose coding (7Q) could not be accepted by your program..

I will use Turbo Tax next yr. and will recommend to friends because I think it is comprehensive, reliable and accurate!
What's great about it: Helped me focus so as not to forget details
What's not so great: didn't show how to import w2's, 1099's etc.

I love Turbotax. I have been using it for years. I am an independent contractor and my husband is an employee so it is nice to use a program that can handle both well. We have a kid in college now too so the program helped guide me through the education credits. I must say the one flaw is that I had to call someone to clear up where to use the education expense as a write-off, on our return or our daughter's. The topic is not explained as thoroughly as I had hoped it would be. Please look at that for next year!
What's great about it: Love the ease of the interview process
What's not so great: Can't always go back to a particular part of interview easily
Pros: I bought or sold investments

What's great about it: Without being a computer guru, it is possible to file what is normally a rather confusing process in a simplified manner
