CA loss carryover needs a lot of improvement

At least for the federal loss carryover you have online help to guide you (i.e. a worksheet) for the CA loss carryover you just ask for the amount. That is pretty lame.
What's great about it: Overall the program is great
What's not so great: you must compute CA loss carryover entirely on your own
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Amazing on the Deductibles

I love the Turbo Tax product.
I have used it for my family for several years. When I was single, I use to do my taxes with my father helping. The school deductions were not that bad, so with his help it was no trouble doing it by hand. Over the years I have always needed a little help as I have always had the need to itemize for charity, medical, school, ect. I did try some of the "other guys" when I first used tax software, but it was cumbersome, confusing, and did not have the features I was looking for. At that point I was was married so we tried a live service. That went BADLY to say the least. I only wish I had tried Turbo Tax from the start and saved several years of stress and money losses.

What's great about it: There are so many, but for me the best part is how well laid out the deductible portion of the software works.
What's not so great: I do not see any Cons in the Turbo Tax Software; The only thing that could make it easier is if I could speak to it.

I really like how Turbo Tax covers everything and is well updated. I think it's one of best programs out there to do one's taxes.

Gets the job done

Overall, its a good service especially if you have fairly straightforward tax returns. Easy to use and quick. Nice that you can pull in bank data and info from prior years.
What's great about it: nice and easy to use, quickly can complete taxes.
What's not so great: Not clear as to how taxes are being calculated

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and have a good opinion of it. I would recommend it to friends.
What's great about it: Easy to use and gives very good hints to keep you on the right track
What's not so great: Charge to file state tax return electronically

So Easy!

I have been using Turbo tax for years. I don't have complicated tax circumstances, so it's done in about an hour. TurboTax goes through what I did last year and then asks if anything has changed. Before filing, I wait a couple of days to clear my mind, check it all over once more, then e file. DONE!
What's great about it: I do Turbo Tax every year so my info gets imported from the previous year...no searching for last year's stuff!
What's not so great: Wish they wouldn't charge for state tax e file.
