Best software to do your taxes

All in all very easy to use. I like the fact that all of your previous years information is carried over for the new tax year. I know that if i had to do this manually, I would miss out on a lot of deductions that I could have taken.
What's great about it: Everything is nicely laid out for you with easy to follow instructions.
What's not so great: A lot of updates when you open the program.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's great about it: Common sense movement through the tax return information
What's not so great: A little slow when I wanted to look into a Federal Tax reference book or form.

Have been using TurboTax for years. Find it is still much better than any other system even though the federal tax code is so complicated. Keep it up.

With all my information together it really doesn't take long to complete my own taxes. Thank you for a good product.

Tell me up front that you need more than 10% of total income to take casualty & theft deduction. Did a lot of work for no reason.

I hate Tax Forms

I e-mailed my Fed return yesterday. I tried to e-mail my State return today and found myself going around in circles!
I would have liked it if I wanted to access the Fed form again, I would have said "NO", and all the subsequent instructions would have be related to the state form.
I was worried that my Fed form was going to be resubmitted, because I could not get out of a loop.

What's great about it: All I had to do was transfer informatin I had onto my computer and the rest was up to Turbo Tax
What's not so great: I am not great on computers, but it wasn't all that bad.
