the big stress

I like everyone else hate to file taxes but TT makes it easy to answer questions and feel more relaxed with the process
. It would be nice to have more deductions but that is not TT that is the governments rules. I love the way I can review & update information as I always review my return a couple of times before actual filing & I always have missed something important the first time around. I love the way TT rechecks and highlights the problem ( I left out a state abbreviation) Thanks again... see you next year

Never know which scrolling device is operative. Sometimes it is the Tab key, sometimes the scroll bar, sometimes the up and down arrows keys and sometimes the small up and down arrows. Needs of visually impaired users usingthe Magnifier feature in Windows are ignored frequently. CT return software contained a number of errors; for example inthe CHET deduction. Sloppy work on CT. Did not ask to incorporate info from 2011 return, so imposed an inappropriate penaltyon federal return.
What's great about it: Accurate - very important
What's not so great: User unfriendly, epecially for users with vision disabilities

Once I found the downloadable version It was easy.
What's great about it: very easy process
What's not so great: Hard to find the downloadable version that allows you to do more than one person's taxes

The most difficult thing about taxes for me is knowing what is what, what I can and can't do, what the terminology means, etc. Turbo Tax does alright at helping with this, though I find a lot of things aren't fully explained.
I usually just end up hoping that if those things applied to me, I would know what they meant. The help functions and such don't seem to do much as they seem to again assume that you know what all the terms and underlying rules/etc. mean.
What's great about it: easy, cheaper than an accountant
What's not so great: probably not as good as an accountant

A specific line for previous year's 1040 V amount with clear instructions should be included. I had to call IRS because I could not find a place to put this entry. (Line 63 on 1040 Form- added to total estimated payments).
Other than that deficiency, your product is fast and easy to navigate

I used to do the taxes with a calculator.
Since TurboTax, taxes are a breeze.
I depend on TurboTax every year and have not been disappointed.
It's easy to complete and understand..

I like how it walks me through step by step, brings last year's info to current form, and double checks this year's info based on last year's info.

Substandard version his year

I had difficulty getting the refund/carry-forward figures to display in all the proper fields.
Foreign taxes paid section was especially confusing, was inconsistent in displaying the several brokers from which the taxes were paid. Also would not allow listing various countries to which the taxes were paid.
What's great about it: Step-through procedure generally worked well
What's not so great: Some calculations were awkward or buggy
