Have used Turbo Tax for over 10 years starting with the original Parson's software. Can't imagine ever doing this by hand or needing a professional service to prepare my taxes!

My taxes went quickly this year than in the past. The new and improved Turbo Tax Program is great.

easy to use

This is the second year I used Turbo Tax, over all I liked it very much. It is much cheaper than paying the account, which I have been for over 20 years. I liked how it checks for every possible deduction, the easy to understand language, and transferring information form previous year. However, the part where it was transferring W2 information was confusing, I ended up having to go through all the steps to enter all the information.
What's great about it: it checks everything for me
What's not so great: the transferring of info from last years return didn't work

Quick and Easy

I hate doing Income Tax, so when I found TurboTax (11 years ago), I vowed to stick with it. From beginning to gather my material together to filing took less than two hours! I love it.
TT thinks of deductions I might not have thought of; also I don't have to keep up during the year with new tax laws because TT will already have them incorporated into the newest version. I like electronic filing and feeling of security that it's done correctly.

You Can Count on Turbotax!

As always you can count on Turbotax! I have been using this program for several years and have always found it to easy to use. The only negative I have is that we don't have the option to only print with black on the copy that I print out for my records. Gotta save money somewhere! Thanks again Turbotax!

TurboTax 2012

This is about the 15th year I have used TurboTax for preparation of my returns. The guided easy step process is very intuitive and works through the program in a logical sequence. It would be neat if the easy step process could be done through the forms, rather than having to select the forms after completion.
One area of improvement is the AMT. I trust the calculation but did not find much explanation on how the AMT works, what deductions are capped/reduced, etc. Also the process of going to obscure places on the prior year returns is cumbersome...especially if you have changed computers in the past year.
Last comment is the hype for add-ons. I understand you make money selling products...could they be grouped into a single area and user be given an opportunity to review and buy at once.
What's great about it: Using the guided process was very easy. Very logical flow.
What's not so great: Explanations for how the AMT works were not very extensive.
