Turbo Tax Deluxe Review

If you are a user of TT from prior years, the startup/transfer of the standard information is great and takes not ime. If you have stocks and other investments at any of the major brokerages, that information now gets imported including gain/loss information and dates for most recent transactyions; careful on some of the older transactions, for which basis information may not be accurate or included, giving a false income bump. If you have individual bonds, especially muni's, it is still a pain to determine the state or states to allocate activity to, and requires some dexterity when multiple states are involved.
What's great about it: good direction of flow by TT interview, lets you compare easily from year to year, much better transfer options now

Best Ever

A very nice guided tour for the first pass. A little too many steps to be repeated when I went back to change an amount.
All in all, a tool I could not survive without to prepare my taxes.
What's great about it: Showed me new deductions to lower taxes
What's not so great: Had to repeat too many steps to make a change

Makes filling out complicated forms easier

Turbotax helps us to complete complex tax forms like Education Expenses and IRA contributions.
What's great about it: Asks the questions to complete complex forms
What's not so great: Many screens to go thru to efile

I Could Never Go Back

I've used TurboTax since 1994. Improvements are made every year.
What's great about it: Carryover of info from prior year. Download data from brokers. Easy to make corrections.
What's not so great: None

I recommend this product to EVERYONE! I do accounting for a living and feel that Turbo Tax is an accountants best friend!
What's great about it: Clear and easy to understand, feel confident that my return is correct!
What's not so great: no cons

Have been a repeat customer since 1987 for personal return preparation. Professionally have used many different tax return preparation software programs and have universally found Turbo Tax one of the easiest and best to use.
