Easy as Pie

I have used Turbo for about 5 years and will always use it. I never have any problems, the software does everything for me. I feel so good about my taxes now.
What's great about it: Always so simple
What's not so great: nothing negative
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great Program

I have used Turbo Tax for over 15 years and have only had one problem with it from the state taxes files, but nothing major.
What's great about it: Really runs you through every tax situation to maximize your refund.
What's not so great: Can get somewhat complicated in certain areas, but the tax laws get more and more complicated every year.

Two states are a disaster

Still trying to figure out CA and DC. Not close enough for them to formally have sorted this out (like DC and VA), but oh so ugly.
I split months or weeks between them. My employer prorates wages and withholding based on the number of days in each, yet the forms simply can't handle this complexity. If you can give some options to make this easier....

What's great about it: Still great on all the regular stuff

got the job done

in the past, i used TurboTax online. i got the software version because it was cheaper than the online version. i was disappointed that i couldn't download the info. from last year's returns into the software package -- it would have saved time. i feel like i got my maximum return. would use them again. of course, the software would need to be competitively priced because there are others that probably would work, too.
What's great about it: fairly simple to use
What's not so great: felt that the descriptions of hyperlinks that would answer questions weren't thorough enough

Easy Peasy

I have used TurboTax for approx the last 10 yrs and I always get through it in about an hour, or more depending on the extent of itemized deductions. The idea of filing taxes is intimidating, but this program makes it "easy peasy!" It walks me through one step at a time, wording the questions in the simplest way, so that it's easy to answer correctly. I like that it tries every way possible to get the biggest deductions. Why pay BIG $$ to drive to an inconvenient appointment with a "tax guy" who is looking at you like "hurry up because my next appointment is sitting behind you" and you might forget to take some important documents, which means you have to go back, etc, etc....when instead, TurboTax will cover all the same money saving questions, you can use it in the comfort of your own home where you have everything you need, can take as much time as you want, and have access to your internet if you need help? Not to mention the e-File option!
What's great about it: Walks you through step-by-step so you don't miss a thing
What's not so great: Optional Print copy should be Black/White only with no shading. Used too much ink (Esp Blue) - Print to PDF!
