TurboTax Takes The Ticket

TurboTax is awesome. It helps me accurately fill out my state and local returns quickly. The first time you use TurboTax it takes almost as much time as filling out the government's PDF files (if you know what you're doing). But every time after that, TurboTax remembers your info so you don't have to answer nearly as many questions in subsequent years.
The only thing I wish they would improve on is to provide an option for printing with duplex printers. To get around this I manually print my returns one or two pages at a time.
What's great about it: Remembers info from last year
What's not so great: Doesn't format print output for duplex printers

TAX PREP A BREEZE !

Less than total of 8 hours to prep both Federal & State taxes, from gathering paperwork, completing prompts on Turbotax, reviewing & e- filing both Federal & State forms ( And I ITEMIZED!!).
Much easier & quicker results than with a tax preparer from time started to filing!

Easy, Secure, Precise

I travel a lot, staying in foreign countries for months at a time. This year I am filing while in Thailand and it was as simple as if I were home. The tax period, after receiving all the W2, 1099, etc information by the end of Jan, until Mayl is one of the best times to travel out of the country at a very economical level. Using TurboTax allows me to do that and everybody in AARP should be informed of same.
What's great about it: You make it easy for a senior to do his taxes.
What's not so great: None yet. Please keep it that way.

turbo tax is so easy to use. I use to have other people do my taxes but with turbo tax I can do them myself!!!

Turbo Tax-he Only way to Go

I have been using Turbo Tax for years...8, at least. This is bullet proof stuff. Unless you are a multi-millionaire and really need a CPA/Law Firm to prepare your return for trusts, etc. Turbo Tax is more than sufficient..
What's great about it: Everything in this program is superb

Removes the pain of filing

Turbo Tax is the least painful and easiest of all filing options. It automatically gets your income info from your employer. I'm going to get Quicken and begin using it partly so next year Turbo Tax can import details directly fro it.
What's great about it: Imports income data, checks all potential deductions/credits
What's not so great: Can't file online then purchase the software and access prior year info
