Turbo Tax asks the same questions your CPA would ask of you, except you can find the answers on your own time.
What's great about it: It's exactly what an CPA would ask you
What's not so great: Just having to do your Taxes

Broke book

Turbo tax was quick and easy, follow line numbers and you are done. However you have to stroll down too far to click the continue button. I thought I had finished and filled my return until time passed and I did not get an email or the money did not show up in my accout. Other wise a fairly simply process
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Refund not instant and have to pay to get state refund

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. It has never been easier to use and instills a ton of confidence that all went well is is correct.
What's great about it: The smoothest and easy to follow in 15 years

For State Tax, the question in regards to whether my spouse had filed State taxes for the preceding year was confusing since we file jointly. Why not combine the questions when filing jointly so that there is no doubt as to whether both need to fill in the requested information.
What's great about it: Information is carried over from previous year
What's not so great: Information is not carried over for two previous years.

Compares to tax experts

I was always wondering if I was doing the best job of filing my Income tax forms using TurboTax until my financial adviser recommended I use a tax accountant one year. When the couldn't find any more deductions or get me a better refund than I got doing taxes on my own with TurboTax I felt confident I was doing the right thing.
What's great about it: Makes quick work of my tax return and having used it for many years I have confidence that it is done right.
What's not so great: It is hard to understand some of the nuances of certain items.

Great program. Nobody likes doin' taxes but TurbpTax makes it as close to pleasant as you can get.
What's great about it: Been a TurboTax fan for years. Can't believe people pay others to do their taxes.
What's not so great: I just can't find any.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
