No Worries

I have been using TurboTax since 2000 and I really appreciate the walk thru assistance. It catches everything. Prior to that I did my taxes by hand, including thru widowhood and a catastrophic house fire. Now it's strictly TurboTax.
What's great about it: Walks me thru the entire ordeal
What's not so great: The State form is a bit confusing but seems to work.

It gets the taxes done

The most troubling part this year with Turbo Tax was not having the worksheet from my son's 1040EZ that was required to file my son's FAFSA.
My father is retired from public employment. If I try to use the turbo tax guided method of doing his taxes, the questions are confusing and the answers don't appear to be there.
Honestly, I sometimes miss the old days of paper returns. Then again, maybe that's because filing taxes is similar to childbirth -- the pain of the previous year's filing isn't accurately recalled when the time comes to labor over them again.
What's great about it: No 25-line worksheets to complete only to find that line 2 had the answer (which was 23 calculations ago!)
What's not so great: Cutesy comments and repetitive questions make the processs longer than it needs to be, which already is long enough.

Taxes Done!

Turbo Tax does a great of taking you through all the areas and steps necessary for filing taxes. Most of the time, everything is clear and concise - just download or fill in the information requested, and Turbo Tax does the rest..
But - there are still tax areas and questions that can be a little too "technical" and can lead to some confusion.

Helps Me Sleep Better

Enjoy using Turbo Tax. Have been using for several years and am very confident in its performance. Used to do by hand and was always worried about missing errors in calculations or transposing figures. No worries with Turbo Tax

Excellent Earnings

My husband and I used to always go in and have someone do our taxes. Ever since we bought TurboTax and did it ourselves, we have received the biggest refunds. Plus we pay a lot less for Turbotax, than we payed the other tax preparers.

So easy!

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. As my life changes and taxes get a bit more complicated I have been tempted to go to a professional, but Turbo Tax is so easy, and they mail the software to me every year so I just never end up changing. I don't regret it!
What's great about it: It is so easy to get the refund done and feel confident about the results
What's not so great: I don't use the unusual tax situations - kind of boring to wade through them,
