Painless- Except for State

Been a fan for years. Makes it easy and relatively painless.
What's great about it: Asks good questions
What's not so great: Makes you go through a lot of steps that sometimes don't pan out for refund.

Straight Forward and Fast!

Some deductions are unclear. Found easy help on online at TurboTax Support.
Overall everything went great. Always a pleasure doing taxes with TurboTax
What's great about it: Easy walk through for all sections.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax simplifies the entire tax filing process. You put the numbers in and Turbo Tax does the rest. Comprehensive interview presents options that might have been overlooked in a paper filing. I like the way TT checks all possibilities.
What's great about it: Easy to Use Automatic entries speed up the process

A little TOO easy...

Since now for the last 6 years I have ended up not only doing mine and my husband's taxes, but my parents', my sister's, my brother's, and sometimes randomly for other family members... Thank goodness there are just 5 free Federal submissions per product. :) I love that the information carries over year to year and its so simple and easy to enter the information in step by step. I have a better idea now of what I need to save to get more itemized deductions. Great product!

Too easy to use!

I have used Turbo Tax for years. I love the way all of my information is kept and transferred year after year. The program covers every issue I need to submit my taxes, lets me know if I forgot something I submitted from the previous return, checks everything and gives me the OK.
What's great about it: Remembers everything and transfers to my new return
What's not so great: none

Annoyed by dates

The one annoyance I have is that you have to enter in mm/dd/yy dates for everything (like charitable contributions) -- if this is a 2012 tax return, isn't everything a 2012 item? At least 99% would be, so let the tax year be a default to make the data entry go a bit quicker/easier. The only error I had was when it interpreted a date I entered as 5/12/13 (hmmm it's only April of 2013 -- why would you accept a future date that isn't even in the tax year.)

good program

Software was easy to work with and understand - led you through each aspect of the information. The areas of "more information" were very helpful. Enjoyed the area where I could automatically download my investment data rather than typing it in myself. Need to add more selections to this area to include more investment companies. Have used this product for 3-4 years now and it improves each year. Will probably continue to use it again next year.
What's great about it: easy to follow, communities were helpful, 97% of my questions were taken care of by the software
What's not so great: need to be able to select a larger variety of investment companies for automatic download of my tax information
