Software seemed thorough enough to hit all the situations that would need to be covered.
What's great about it: gave a preview of what would be covered at another stage

Prior years were very easy to do. This year several issues with software not reading O as a null field and having to go deep into forms and repeatedly deleting Os in order to get things to work. Also on state form (Virginia) getting locked in a do loop when form said couldn't claim a deduction in 2012 unless bought an insurance policy before 2012. Had entered 2011 on prior page and software refused to process. Bug fix supposedly due in a few days. These are not complicated things and Turbotax was happy to collect state filing fee before refusing to file state form.
What's great about it: Easy to fill out
What's not so great: Buggy---several frustrating problems

Sooo easy!

Turbo Tax is a quick, easy and economical way of filing your taxes. Almost takes the pain away. My only issue was that when I tried to transfer last year's information it kept pulling up the information on my mother's taxes (I also file hers). I could not get our information transferred. There should be a screen that asks you which file you want to open - not just pull up one and not give you a choice. This was quite frustrating and time consuming as I had to reenter all our information.
What's great about it: Asked all the right questions!
What's not so great: Could not transfer last year's information!

had to answer same questions over and over on various dates of stock purchases when all sold on the same dates. Could have been easier.
What's great about it: easy to manually go thru the forms
What's not so great: always asking a question at the start of a segment that you already answered

Great as always. Love the import of last year's info,helps move things along. I have a fairly complex return and still finished it in 90 minutes.

I was very pleased with TurboTax 2012 Federal Deluxe. It performed magnificently and after using TurboTax for about 5 years now, the program has finally "trained" me to become a much more efficient tax preparer/payer than I ever was before.
Thank you for creating a wonderful product.
What's great about it: Very well organized with important reminders every step of the way.
What's not so great: Cannot think of a thing I would change
