The easy step by step instructions made filling out, completing and fileing my taxes in a single evening a snap. All questions and answers were at a click of a button which gives you the confidence you need in this software.
What's great about it: The easy step by step instructions

Easy and Fast!

I would never be able to figure out or keep up with all of the new tax laws. With TurboTax it is all done for you. I have to file with an additional state and with TurboTax all the forms I needed were available without having to hunt them down. This is a super fast way to file the EZ forms too. I will continue using Turbo Tax, I have found it to be the best program out there!
What's great about it: You don't have to wade through all the legalize. You can find out any explanations to your questions with just a click!

My Turbotax experience 2008 -2012

In the past two years Turbotax in my experience, has worked like clockwork until it came time to close things up and file the returns. Selecting electronic filing for the Federal and State tax return is easy enough. Paying for the state return was a problem for me in 2010, It just would 'nt process the AMEX entry and I went to a paper filing for the state return. This year,although that process worked fine for me with my Visa card, there was a difference in my full name on the Federal return compared to what was on the State return, one had the suffix Jr. and the other did not. I think it would be helpful if the software could identify that kind of problem early on, so that the closing out process is less stressful and trouble free. That said, to give credit where credit is due,- let me say in 2013 doing one's taxes is an annual burden, that Turbotax makes easy.
What's great about it: Best software of its type - generally easy to use and accurate
What's not so great: Turbotax issues in the wrap up phase

Disappointed

I have use Turbo Tax since 1994 or 95 & this is the first year I have been SO aggravated! Bad enough having to pay but, the program would only take me back to the main topic each time I had to stop. I have NEVER had this problem before. It has always taken me directly to where I left off each time.! I just hope I got to all the topics I needed to cover! What happened???!!!

Turbo Tax 2012

I like having the opportunity to do the taxes myself without paying a large fee tax adviser
What's great about it: Turbo Tax allows me to go through taxes and fine potentilal deductions without requiring me labor over the taxes
What's not so great: Some of the topics are confusing and I wonder if I do find all the possible deductions
