Almost right

Almost everything worked as I expected, but the NC State return printed gibberish. Don't know how to fix that. I'm going to have to manually write the numbers in a blank form, IF I can figure out what I'm supposed to enter and where.
Didn't quite get what I paid for.
What's great about it: Asked all the questons. Made calculations
What's not so great: Adding or changing not easy. Printing problems

The Best

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and it is the best available tax software. I tried other brands but Turbo Tax is always the easiest to use and it always produces the best results.

Decent Tax Product

I've used TurboTax since 2007 and simply continue because it is what I am used to. I like being able to go online and put in your information without having to pay, but I bought the CD since it was cheaper (not sure why TurboTax has such varied pricing) but the information from my 2011 return that I imported online from TurboTax was not what was shown on my saved filed forms. I had a 1099 misc form that TurboTax wouldn't accept as not being self employment. I'll probably look into a different software next year since it imported by 2011 tax data wrong.
What's great about it: Able to put in information online before paying

Works well, but you must trust it

I used to use a different program that allowed you to go through interview type entries, but still be able to see the actual line by line entries the program was making on each form. I like that system. You could follow along with last years return in front of you, and instantly know when you may have strayed or forgot something. This program has you enter everything without being able to see your forms as they are being filled in. Then at the end, if something seems off, you have to navigate back through and find where to change the info.
What's great about it: Good price, good results
What's not so great: Hard to tell what's going on until the end review

Overall, very good.
What's great about it: Total time for federal + state returns were much less than I thought.
What's not so great: Filling in deductions was the slowest part.

Intuitive and Easy

TurboTax was my top choice for the fourth year in a row. It does an excellent job guiding me through the various forms without missing possible savings. The e-file system went smoothly. The online payment had a small hiccup when I apparently selected the wrong answer for "Display only secure content" but the system recovered from the error and processed on my next attempt. They also responded quickly to the MN tax return snafu quickly, and retained my trust with their response to the situation. The only real down-side to this is having to pay for state e-file. Good system all around, Intuit.
What's great about it: Comprehensive yet easy to understand
What's not so great: Have to pay for state e-file
