I love TurboTax because you make it so easy!!!

You ask all the questions, all I have to do is answer them and I have completed my tax return!
What's great about it: Everything is spelled out for you to fill in the blanks!
What's not so great: Printing instructions this year (2012) are slightly confusing!

Works But Scary

I had five investment income worksheets in my Federal return. When they transferred to my state return, there were 16 worksheets. Eleven were bogus. In order to eliminate error messages, I had to fill in more than 100 fields with 9's or A's. Scary! However, Turbo Tax probably does a pretty good job of automating truly broken and insane income tax processes, both at Federal and State levels.
What's great about it: Saved me from having to read and comprehend a lot of instructions and hopefully did everything correctly.
What's not so great: Not confident it correctly transferred data from my Federal to State return.

Always easy to understand

I have used Turbo Tax for 6 years now and it has made doing taxes so easy. I love how it loads last years information and saves a lot of time.
What's great about it: Complex tax laws easy to understand with Turbo Tax
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I have been using Turbo-tax for many years now. In the past, it was one of the easiest and most reliable programs I have ever used. What happened? This year's version was a disaster! Very difficult to navigate, confusing, and many times I had to input data more than twice. Each time I continued a return in progress I got either new questions I was not asked the first run through, or it lost data which had to be re-entered. And, it didn't transfer my info from last year. If it does not improve next year, I'm finding another provider. Also, I don't know if my return is accurate....so many "updates" I don't know if I missed one. Nice quality control!
What's great about it: Better than doing it by hand.
What's not so great: Very difficult program, no user friendly.

Easy to understand and use. There is no way I could possibly do my taxes without the help of Turbo Tax
What's great about it: Load it and follow the directions. It's easy.

TurboTax has easy instruction to follow. However, it charges 2 different fees when e-fiing. I don't mind the fee for e-filing, but why charge me the other fee when I paid for softwar already?
What's great about it: Easy to Follow Instruction
What's not so great: Fee Cost Too Much. I thought I Paid for Software Already?

Trusty Turbo Tax

There is an advantage to returning each year to Turbo Tax including familiarity with how it works, preloaded data from earlier year tax returns. I know what to expect and I get what I expect.
What's great about it: Easy Data Entry and allows self directed input
What's not so great: Sometimes trouble with error check, finding the right place to make the correction
