The only way!!!

Is the only way to go. I have used Turbo Tax for many years. I can't imagine using any thing else. So easy to use. All updates there. Double checks and I have never had one problem when using Turbo Tax. Great program.

Convenient to Use

Seems to cover all tax circumstances, although my own finances are pretty basic. Downloading stock transactions directly from brokerages is a nice feature. It would be better if there were more detailed help pages for filling in the K-1 Partnership forms. It's nice to be able to view the actual tax forms as progress is made on filling in the guiding questions. Had some trouble filing for a credit on foreign tax paid on some dividends. The program kept saying there was no income for the credit, but there was almost $600 of dividends that had the foreign tax. But it didn't matter because overall I ended up paying zero taxes and got all withholding refunded back. Finishing up and e-filing both returns was straightforward. But I always feel a little insecure sending my financial info to an intermediate 3rd party before it reaches the IRS. But I suppose if Intuit was ever linked to misuse or security breaches, the corporate losses would far outweigh any near-term illegal profits. I've never heard of any problems in all the years I've been watching Intuit and using TurboTax. It almost seems like TurboTax is an accepted branch of the IRS and State tax franchises. That makes refunds come very quickly.
What's great about it: Easy to use for 1 or 2 hours at a time. Nice help pages. Simple to e-file both Fed & State returns.
What's not so great: One time the program started a new session at the beginning instead of where I left off. No updates were added.

Turbo Tax continues to be easy to use, for the most part. Just fill in the forms to match your tax documents you get in the mail. However, some forms could use a bit better explanation when its asking for some details. Overall, 4 stars out of 5. I'll probably use it again next year,

Makes taxes easy and *fun* even...

I like doing taxes with Turbo Tax since it allows you to see your tax breakdown, while also providing explanations that educates the taxpayer for both this years and future taxes.
Also its fun to see your tax refund re-calculating as you input more info (unfortunately sometimes you see it also go negative).
The ability to switch views to the actual tax forms is also helpful to catch little errors or missing info - which sometimes you must do when the pre-check error finder gives you an error but no way to link where it is in the questionnaire! I thought previous years programs linked you directly to the section, but 2012 does not.
Also importing last years info from Turbo Tax and the DeductIt program help make save time and maximize your deductions.

What's not so great: Errors found during review, no longer link you to section that needs fixing, Hard to find error/missing info

I have been using turbotax for about 6 years and found it to be very easy to use. You can use the step by step to guide you thru the process or you can go right to the form you want to fill in.
What's great about it: Takes you thru everything you need to do
What's not so great: Wont do your taxes by itself

Simple and easy

I sat down with all my paper work and in a matter of no time was finished. This is a simple and easy program to understand and I will surely be using this next year.
What's great about it: Easy format and easy to understand questions.
What's not so great: Nothing, I liked it all.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
