Whew!!! Record time!

Overall, I love TurboTax.
It helped me quickly file my federal and three individual state returns. I have been using TurboTax for years, but am still amazed at simple it really is.
Bless you, Turbotax. I think I set a new record this year.
What's great about it: quick, easy, guided, feds & states linked
What's not so great: K-1 can be confusing, no support for state by state gambling losses

What's great about it: Fast & Clear
What's not so great: Can't think of any at this time.
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Makes it easy year after year

Its so easy year after year to use Turbotax. I don't have to enter personal information since the program takes the information from last year. If I have carryovers, I don't have to remember or review my return from last year - Turbotax knows.
The help boxes are fairly helpful, but there have been occasions when I felt compelled to look at the actual IRS information - yuck. Not this year though.
What's great about it: continuity from year to year
What's not so great: not as much detail for state returns

Our taxes were more involved this year but I was able to try different scenarios quite easily before deciding on which was the best filing method.

Why I Use TurboTax Every Year!

I have used the TurboTax tax preparation program for numerous years. It is very simply to use. I was able to use TurboTax free this year to file my youngest daughter's income taxes since she is in the Army. I really appreciate that you offered this program! Every year I use your tax preparation program to file my children's and my taxes for a low fee. If we had to use another firm, it would be very expensive.
What's great about it: How the program went through every category step-by-step.
What's not so great: length of time it took for it to load on my computer every time I worked on my families' taxes.

Turbo tax

I've been using Turbo Tax for several years because it makes doing taxes so simple that even I can do them. I've had success following the instructions and can take all the time I need. It also saves me money.

TurboTax has stepped back

Wish I could have accessed my taxes from 1989 thru 2011. I could not because TurboTax change.
In previous years I was able to access source files for entries. I now have to go through each form in hopes of finding where TurboTax got inputs.
I have contacted my CPA twice on an error message on my 179 deduction from a K-1. I was assured twice that your message is wrong.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Lost access to old taxes and functionality

Excellent layout of all income producing items along with good questions for the deductions. Easy to use and fast. I absolutely loved it. Will buy it again next year!!
