Efficient and Professional Software

Turbo Tax is easy to use and professionally presented. In addition it covers all of the tax aspects that are needed by an individual under typical tax situations.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Could be easier for a simple short term business
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

K1-S Pain

After many attempts I did get e-file to work. The problem was an insistence on supplying more info on distribution on interest in the S corporation even though line 17 was kept blank as there was no distribution of interest to report.
What's great about it: All Forms but K-1S were fine.
What's not so great: K1-S kept insisting on More Information for line 17 which was no entry.

Great refunds

Easy to follow steps. Able to go back & check or re-do input. 1st timers can handle it. Price is steep but what you get it's worth it. Will purchase next Tax Season.
What's great about it: The walk throughs
What's not so great: Didn't like the State E-File fee or the processing refund fee

Excellent job of dissecting different issues

I first filed my taxes with Turbo Tax in 1992. I think I had to crank the computer back then. I have used TurboTax every year since. TurboTax makes it a breeze to do taxes from both my wife and me as well as my two college age children.
What's great about it: Simple approach to income and investments, with a good focus on process

I like TurboTax- as much as one can 'like' doing taxes. We've used it a number of years and info carries over well.
What's great about it: easy, comprehensive, secure
What's not so great: on the slow side to respond to queries.
