It works

I've used this product for 20 years (back to MacInTax days). It's still good.
What's great about it: Step by step process
What's not so great: Had trouble figuring out how to exclude out-of-state income from SC return (moved from another state during the year)
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Filing Tax's made easy

I use to file my taxes by myself every year for alot of years, but then about 4 years ago I started using Turbo Tax and have been using it ever since. Turbo Tax ask the questions and I just fill in the number or click the right response. It can't get any better then this. I plan to continue using Turbo Tax into the future.
What's great about it: simple and easy to use
What's not so great: actually there isn't anyting i didnt like

Keep it Simple, Smarty

TT has been extremely helpful to me for several years. I use it for personal tax preparation, and Trust prep. By selecting yhw walk through method, I am asked questions I didn't know I had to answer and then TT walks me through the answers. Money spent on the programs is more than made up in the savings I get by doing my own preparation. Thanks, TT
What's great about it: Turbo tax allows me to walk through preparation without having to think. Just answer the questions.
What's not so great: There is nothing to dislike.

Better Every Year

Need to have a way to enter explanations/notes on each form or line. Without notes, linked to an entry, back tracking entries is difficult.
What's great about it: Have used Turbo Tax for more than 10 years and each year it just gets better.

Easy as ...

The folks at Intuit make filing your taxes as simple as can be given the complexity of the tax code. After doing my taxes this way for about ten years now, once I find all the information needed, it takes me less than an hour to enter, check and file my return.
Every year, I've seen changes in organization that make the program easier to use. That said, it is simple for me because I''ve been doing this for a long time. The tax code is changes enough that each year, I wonder about one or two points and need to go online for help. I can usually find what I need by just Googling the question.
If you are a 1st time user, stick with the program even though it seems tedious at times. If you wander off into the forms, you can easily get lost.
What's great about it: Easy when nothing changes from year to year
What's not so great: Learning curve for 1st (and 2nd) time users

Complex year simplified!

I have used Turbo Tax for many many years with great success and confidence. The tool is consistent to help me prepare my taxes with complete accuracy.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax did a great job of capturing our year of job changes, moving to another state and all the expenses!
What's not so great: Seems to keep data that isn't needed from previous years and enters "0" with old descriptors (i.e. jury duty pay)

Turbo Tax speaks for itself. User friendly, quick and convenient. Upfront cost is well worth the convenience and ease this product provides.
