Eaiser if only zip code entry required resulting in auto entry of city and state. Also there are many 3 letter nicknames which should be accepatable. Mine is Ray which someone else has already used. Useless question.

Great software. I've been using it for many many years and it just gets easier n easier. Great for 1st time filers and makes it easier the next year.

In all, the software is good. Some situations seem to send one in circles. Applying information for inherited property or a fractional portion there of needs further definition and steps to assure proper reporting. I am sure the IRS is vague here too as they refer to several instructions and forms of which it seems none apply or all apply. Very difficult
What's great about it: Liberal with the help.

2012 Tax Return

The Turbo Tax Software for 2012 returns was very fast and efficient, thank you. However, the change in my State return to not needing a hard copy of the State Return plus the Declaration for Electronic Filing form not needing to be sent is a little un-nerving and a reference from the state should be included (or a URL) denoting the change. If the State does not receive the Decl f Elec Filing with our signs on it then how does it know that we gave our permission and that our identity isn't stolen or ex-spouse, if applicable, did not file with the spouse? Maybe this is something that needs to be taken up with the state but I definitely see some potential chances for theft here without a paper document legitimizing a spouse's signature or permission. Just something to think about. Thanks.
