Easy and Quick

Anyone can do taxes with Turbotax. It is easy to use and quick. All you need to do is answer a few questions about yourself and enter your tax information. Most questions are very matter-of-fact type of questions. Using your W-2s and other info (most receive in the mail), it is very easy to do your own taxes. Turbotax reloads most of your basic information from the year before; so I did my taxes in about 5 minutes! YA!
What's great about it: Easy to use if you know nothing about taxes
What's not so great: It doesn't do taxes by itself!!!!!!!!!!!HA! HA!

I've been using TurboTax as long as I can remember and have never had a problem. The program is continually updated and better every single year.

2012 Tax Return

I wanted to save the file to a different hard drive (external) and the software kept telling me I had to have administrative permission. I am the administrator.
Same thing with trying to save the return at the end.

What's great about it: Easy to use and to navigate
What's not so great: Problem with saving the file.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years now, and let me tell you it's great. It saves you money and it's pretty simple.
You just need the time and patience to go through all the questions. Also you need your tax info, so you can plug it into the boxes.

My return was very easy and TurboTax made it very simple for me to complete. The questions were thorough and I completed my return in no time.

Another year with Turbo

I like Turbo tax. I have noticed though the software is getting more detailed than usual....for old timers we need to keep it simple.
What's great about it: Like the organization
What's not so great: Couldn't get form 1065 without updating to more Turbo Tax software, even though it was no extra cost in 2011.

I can't believe how insanely easy the software was to use and naviagate! Afterwards when you look at the forms the software fills out for you, you go wow! I can't imagine having to figure all that out without the help of TurboTax!

We have used Turbo tax for several years now. Makes the process much easier to understand.
What's great about it: Progression through tax forms was smooth
What's not so great: Have to pay extra to e-file state income tax
