Easy Peasy

This is my sixth or so year using Turbo Tax Deluxe and it is very simple but extremely detailed. For people that have the more common deductions but different income sources such as stock dividends etc, this is fantastic. Not all people have the same tax situation but Turbo Tax Deluxe does cover a huge number of them such as mine. I have never been disappointed with Turbo Tax Deluxe and will continue to use it. I would only stop using it if my tax situation changed and I needed to start using Turbo Tax Professional.
What's great about it: Simple yet specific
What's not so great: More examples of what can be deducted in each category

It was time.

I always enjoyed doing my taxes myself. But as Congress has delayed making their decisions on tax law later and later each year, I became more concerned about missing deductions or rebates to whch my family is entitled. A number of years ago, I used federal forms that were not updated with the latest information. This caused me to miss a temporary rebate for my family. Forturnately the IRS was kind enough to point out my oversight and sent us the extra monies to which we were entitled. But what would have happened if they did not do that?
So, I thought that it was time to try TurboTax and take advantage of their up to the minute information on changes in the tax law. Also, I was finding, that too much information on tax law from the internet was confusing or even wrong when I was trying to find out tax answers by myself. I find that TurboTax is a source on which I can depend.
Not only that, but it organizes things so neatly. Everything is at my fingertips for easy access, whereas before, I had folders of papers to look through. And you know how papers can be misplaced.
I still enjoy doing my taxes and have found that TurboTax is an excellent tool for learning more about the process. Reviewing the many forms and worksheets used by Turbotax, I find myself developing a better understanding of the tax system and process.
As my kids grow, and retirement nears, filing my family's taxes is only going to become more complicated. I feel better knowing that TurboTax will be there to help.
What's great about it: Ease, organized, everything is previous years is at my fingertips, learning tool

Turbo Tax is the best!

Turbo Tax becomes better every year. This is my 7th consecutive year to use it. I love the import features and the accuracy in placing everything just where it belongs. It's Deductible is the best bookkeeping system available for keeping accurate records of all charitable giving.
I have friends who do taxes for others and they also use Turbo Tax. That says it all!
What's great about it: Always takes the user in the right direction

Easy Walk Through!

The tax software overall is so very helpful; it prompts you for details that you might forget, or overlook. I especially like the error check, which added some obscure data, which I had, but didn't know needed to be included. I will continue to use Turbotax.
What's great about it: Simple to follow directions
What's not so great: Some forms didn't have space for information provided in 1099R

I have used TurboTax for years and you have updated it every year and it is still as easy to use now as it was on my first TurboTax return.
Keep up the good work in making the process feel like it is the same when it is new and up to date.
