My Turbo Tax Experience

I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 4 years to file for my taxes. The software is very user friendly to use. It takes about 2 hours to complete your federal and state.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: Expensive

Some Improvements

Be nice if one was told or shown why certain limitation come into play. For instance my Roth contrib. of 2400 was limited to 2395. I have earned income only from my Sched C; that showed 2577 but it got limited down to 2395. Nowhere did it show why that happened. Subtracting 2395 from 2577 I got 182. Looking thru the return for 182 found that it was deductible amount of slef employment tax.
And when you start out using easy step then switch to forms, easy step keeps its number while the form keeps its. They are not the same - for instance: registration property tax and personal property tax: forms show it in registration prop while ES keeps it in other property tax.
ES suggested that I enter a basis value in a downloaded bond sale; did so but realized that was incorrect. Changed it back to 0 but EZ kept the error flag on it.

A very thorough program. I had the choice of skipping areas I didn't need. The automatic download from my financial institution saved much time and aggravation. It took longer than in past years, but it found everything I needed and I didn't expect a refund this year, but I got one!
What's great about it: Thourough and flexible
What's not so great: I needed a way to get last year's info onto my new harddrive

Reminds me, leads me, finds items I might forget, transfers information to state forms...Turbotax makes taxes a breeze!

I have used Turbo Tax for many years now and I am always pleased with the outcome. This product makes it simple to calculate the refund (or taxes due) so that even a beginner can follow and achieve the best result.
What's great about it: Questions and answers to direct the best result
What's not so great: Sometimes it can be too many questions. Need some shortcuts

this program is best gift for every one who use it nice peace of mind with working with all complicated up date and forms just get program and work with it
