Easy!

Second year for using Turbo Tax and as a preparer who has used other professional tax software this is easy if you just follow the steps.
What's great about it: Takes you thru the steps very easily
What's not so great: Paying the taxes at the end! But not your problem.

Easy and Fast

I have been using TurboTax since 1997 and it has gotten better and better over the years. If you link it to other information you collected during the year it's even easier. I have been totally satisfied.
What's great about it: Instructions are clear and navigation easy

Straightforward

The program was easy to navigate and clearly explained. The tasks were broken down into logical and non intimidating components. Explanations and help were very clear and written in simple words. A lot of material did not apply to me but it is understandable since that is the only way to make sure nothing is missed. Total time for my returns (Federal and State) took about 3 hours and I had a significant quantity of itemized deductions. Overall I was very pleased. I have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years and every year it has improved.
What's great about it: Very Logical format and divided into easy to understand sections. Generally all descriptions were in common terms.
What's not so great: Re-entry after a break was a little confusing as some questions had to be revisited.

Disability income was added twice, once as regular income and once as disability income. The final outcome is correct but the Tax Summary is definitely misleading eg. $15,000 disability annuity income is reported as $30,000 taxable income.
What's great about it: Questions were easy to answer and accurately applied.
What's not so great: The Federal tax summary is misleading.

When filling married, at the end have it show the difference between jointly and seperately. Remind me of things I did last year, such as Kids. So I don't miss a deduction.
What's great about it: I learn as I do my own taxes. I like the help tips.
What's not so great: I changed computers this year and I could not transfer all of the previous years info.
