Eased My Filing Process

I've used TurboTax almost since its inception and have never regretted that initial decision to try a computerized tax preparation program. It's easy to use and adds to my confidence in filing an accurate form.
What's great about it: The ease of progressing through the tax return by answering the provided questions.
What's not so great: Can't think of anything I didn't like

Great time saver!

This the fourth year I have use TurboTax and it gets easier each year. Was able to complete both Federal and State in less than 3 hours! A great mind saver!!
What's great about it: Easy, fast & accurate.
What's not so great: Not able to see or edit State forms?
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Fast & Easy

I like TurboTax because I just collect all the documents in a manila folder as I get them in the mail. I purchase and install TurboTax on my PC and when I'm ready to sit down and do my taxes, it's a breeze. Usually only takes me about an hour or so and I'm done. But I wait a few days to a week to review the return before sending it electronically. Fast and easy! Just like I said.
What's great about it: Easy to use, accurate returns
What's not so great: The energy credits part was a bit difficult the first year

Not what I expected

Had to go to the IRS website and to the library and get a copy of the 1040 Instructions in order to get my questions answered. Several things were new for me this year, including deducting sales tax on a home remodel and figuring out how to calculate my general sales tax and the local sales tax. Redid my itemized deductions 5 times and my taxes owed changed each time, but I was not able to see why until I went to the IRS website. Became frustrated with Turbo Tax and finally filled out my own tax forms by hand and compared with Turbo Tax. Ended up filing through Turbo Tax due to being faster and more convenient.
What's great about it: Able to save and come back at a later date
What's not so great: Not easy to find and/or understand explanations to questions

Easy, efficient, & well-explained

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 7 years now, and it always makes the whole process of figuring out the applicable tax codes and regulations and filing my forms SO much easier. I just have all my W-2s, 1099s, receipts, and other paperwork ready and go to it. As my tax situation changes, Turbo Tax is right there with the guidance I need. Thanks!

Until the Flat Tax Happens

Have used Intuit tax preparation products for years and have had only one incident when a refile was required. During Final Review phase of tax prep, Turbotax requested a restatement of spouses childcare income not supported by W2 form. I had submitted the return electronically before I realized the income was reported twice. Regardless, Turbotax processed an amended refile with a few key strokes. The IRS processed the amended return without questions or hassle. May not be in my lifetime, but I look forward to the day when a flat tax is the norm and income tax preparation is truly simple.
What's great about it: Sequenced guide-thru simple and easy to follow
What's not so great: Final review with IRS forms display sometimes confusing

Great work and easy steps then get max refund

It is very easy to filing TAX even come from out side of county I am not familiar filling TAX in USA, but TURBO TAX help to me file very easy, fast and working very well. also It explained very well so I could know what we can save well so I can prepare for next year.
