Pretty good product

I have used Turbo Tax for the last few years and have found the software to be useful and, at times, make me aware of tax deductions that were unknown to me.
I wish that I did not have to pay so much in taxes but that is not the fault of the software.
I would recommend this software to anyone that wants help in filing their taxes.
What's great about it: Helpful menu

Easy Taxes!

I've been using Turbo Tax for years and I can't imagine taxes without it. Its just as easy to input the information yourself as it is to pay someone to input your tax info, which is what most tax preparers do these days. I had a CPA do my taxes years ago and he made a mistake that cost me $$$ in an audit, so I don't trust my taxes to anyone. Turbo tax allows me to prepare my own taxes, with a small business and all sorts of what nots that would otherwise be too complicated for self preparation. Thank goodness for Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Anyone can do this!
What's not so great: Can get monotonous-but it is taxes.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

It's better this year

This year's version of TurboTax did very nicely with the imports. Saved me a boat load of time; very much appreciated.
The ads are kind of cheesy - as are the people who pop up during the process as if they're somehow in my computer doing my return.
I get a kick out of the bogus status bars when calculating the refund or checking the app, but get why they're necessary.
My main concern that prevents me from giving TT 5 stars is that I wonder about how secure my personal info is with Intuit. I'd like to hear more about how you're keeping my very personal info secure, and how you're not going to use it in data mining, or selling it in any way, shape, or form. I'm just not confident in this regard.
What's great about it: Imports
