Worked really well as it usually does.
One problem encountered was that the section on the home office did not ask for inputs on the home utilities or home maintenance costs. I added this manually in See Forms, but it did not appear to make any difference. I am not sure if this was a bug in Turbotax, or if the home office expenses can no longer include home utilities and maintenance.

What's great about it: Logically aids in filling out all forms
What's not so great: If something is missed, or missing during the form filling, difficult to put it in.

Turbo Tax has never let me down, been using it since 2003 with no problems. It's fast, simple, and straight-forward. You can't go wrong. Think even my 9-year-old could do it.

This is much easier than wading through all the forms and worksheets on my own!
What's great about it: Easy to enter all the information
What's not so great: The font on many of the "Explain This" dialogs was too small and could not be enlarged.

Done! After begging my wife for documents!

I had an easy time putting in my tax information into Turbotax. I had more problems getting the tax documents from my wife. I am glad that I could navigate back and forth between income and deductions. I could input tax documents as I was able to get them.
What's great about it: Loved you can put in items and save them. Don't have to start over.
What's not so great: I would be sucking wind if I had not done the 2011 return on Turbotax.

1041 confused me

Tried using Turbo Tax to file a 1041 return for Estates and Trusts and it reported on a 1040. Still trying to figure this out. May have to print all the forms and submit via hardcopy.
What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: reported on a 1040 instead of a 1041

A Solid Experience

The step-by-step seems to provide a thorough and relatively easy way to make sure that a user is reporting all of the reportable income and taking all of the available deductions. The filing is quick and painless. It sure beats a race to the post office on April 15th. It is a good, solid product that seems to get better each year without changing the basic functions which would require a whole new learning curve.
What's great about it: Intuitive and seemly complete
