TurboTax uses annuity gross distribution instead of taxable distribution to calculate the tax. (for the last 3 years ! ! ! )

Great result with a few glitches

I'm a new Mac user, so it took me a while to figure out how to transfer from last year (used Turbotax on a PC), and I'd get so far into the program and it would crash every time. Eventually I got the program to update -- took me a while to get to actually do this, but once it did, no more crashes.
What's great about it: ease of use

I have been using TT for a decade or more. Using it consecutive years makes it worthwhile as it imports mundane information from the previous year. It sucks that it won't willingly tell you how much it will cost to file mutliple state/federal returns if you bought the software to do more than just your taxes. I buy a license every year to do my very simple taxes, it would be nice if there would be a loyalty discount for this type of filer.
What's great about it: ease of use, answers FAQ quicly

Did not address a situation where municipal bond interest is taxable for federal but not state taxes.

Everything went smoothly. It was very good to have Turbo Tax bring forward a stock loss from last year.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Especially after ther first year.
What's not so great: Constant updates uploading makes me nervous the program is not fully ready or complete at time of filing.

I have been uing the Turbo Tax software now for years and have somehow bcome the tax specialistfor the family. It is so asy to use and understand that anyone can do it. Thank you Turbo Tax
