What's great about it: Really easy this year

Much Better This Year!

I had a lot of trouble navigating Turbo Tax last year, but a friend helped guide me through it. This year I had none of the problems I encountered last year.
What's great about it: Easy to navigate; no problems whatsoever!
What's not so great: Don't really have any this year!

I like the explanations that are available for most topics. They give great examples to get you going in the right direction. It's so nice to have lists of contributions from the previous year so I can make sure nothing is missing. I also like that it gives me last year's figures so I can recheck an item if it totally different..
What's great about it: I liked having information that was the same as last year transferred
What's not so great: Sometimes getting back to things is hard

It was step by step easy. The program did all the work and walked me through the entire process.

Long-time user of TurboTax (15+ yrs) and each year there are good enhancements included. The recent It's Deductible inclusion was one of the best enhancements. Importing data from previous year saves a lot of time, especially the list of prior charitable contributions. I have a lot of confidence in the accuracy of the required information and the ease of electronic filing is superb. Will keep buying the product for the forseeable future.
What's great about it: Import from prior year; can opt out of easy method to go direct to forms when necessary, easy to understand instructions
What's not so great: didn't always go to where I left off when resuming inputs; had to delete an unnecessary form that I hadn't used in years

Is it the software or is it the tax code? Using the product over several years, I've noticed that it takes longer to load and get through. There is a price in time for using the Step-by-Step feature.
What's great about it: Got the job done AND e-file my NY return for free
What's not so great: Getting more complicated
