2012 Refund!

simple, accurate and fast!

It took me less than 2 hours to file my federal and state returns! The itemization section enabled me to include every possible deduction, so my refund was as much as possible. I don't think a professional could have done a better job and so much cheaper!

The quickest, safest, pain free way to do your taxes!
What's great about it: Quick & EASY!

I do 5 tax returns for various family members, and being able to pull information from previous years is great. I like getting quick answers on topics, although occasionally will go to IRS pubs for details. A link to IRS would be nice feature.
One major irritation is when entering dividends, and the system wants me to use an automated system for pulling that data. The set up of that is not worth the time, and I enter manual information. Until I get to the 3rd separate div entry, the system asks me again, and again, if I want to use the automated format. Please, If I say no after the first inquiry, don't make me repeatedly decline to use the service.

Tax time is time for Turbo Tax

I've been using Turbo Tax for years. Even though my refunds aren't huge, I know they're correct and I didn't pay huge fees to have them done.
My wife once asked why her friend gets back such huge refunds and doubted that using Turbo Tax was getting us what we deserved. I got her friend to let me do her taxes with Turbo Tax to compare. First thing I found (actually Turbo Tax found) were errors in the return by the "block" head that did their taxes. Turbo tax also found what one may call not-so-correct deductions that I personally am not willing to risk. Overall, my wife's friend should never had gotten back as big a refund as what she filed for and I showed her how letting the government keep more of our money in the first places is better than getting that "big refund".

EASY FOR ME

FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS, I HAVE A FRIEND WITH A CPA LICENSE AND I USED HIM AS A FAVOR TO HIM. HE NO LONGER IS IN THE BUSINESS, AND THIS IS JUST AS EASY AND LESS TIME.
What's great about it: TRUSTED
What's not so great: NONE
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It seems that each year there are unnecessary changes in the format and links. I found printing my return to be especially cumbersome as opposed to other years.
