Still getting a refund...yippee!

I have used TurboTax for years and have always found the application to be very good, easy to use, especially for items that do not occur very often.
What's great about it: easy to work through; dont have to second guess
What's not so great: nothing

Great Product

This is a good product and will get you your maximum refund. I have used this product for the last 5 years. Prior to that I used a H&R Block program and paid the government to much.
What's great about it: Easy to Use. Great step by step guidance!
What's not so great: Some steps are repetitive

2012 Turbo Tax

I have used this product for several years and wouldn't use anything else, at this point. I do miss some of the video presentations about new things to look for but realize that adds cost and I don't want to pay more. I was slightly frustrated that, at times, it did not return to where I left off. One time, my fault, I was distracted when signing off and didn't save. Maybe a second warning about saving would be nice, especially for us older folks who loose focus.

Year After Year TurboTax Takes Care of Me

I have used TurboTax for 22 years in filing and almost every year the experience has been better and better. My tax filing needs have grown over the years and TurboTax has been right there to help me.
What's great about it: Good question interface, feeling of confidence, Allows for revisits and bookmarking
What's not so great: Difficulty in getting back to specific spots in the question set if the were not bookmarked.

I HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR OVER 10 YEARS - I TRIED ANOTHER SOFTWARE ONCE, DID NOT LIKE IT, SO I RETURNED TO TURBO TAX AND HAVE USED IT EVER SINCE.
What's great about it: EASY TO USE, GUIDES YOU THOUGH THE PROCESS
What's not so great: SOMETIMES SKIPS OVER ITEMS YOU NEED TO REVIEW

Better than expected...

This was an overall excellent experience. My husband and I have always used a CPA to do our taxes. However, we fell on hard times financially with unemployment and found ourselves cutting costs everywhere. Tax preparation was one of the areas to economize on. Turbo Tax made it far easier than we thought it would be. The screens were user friendly and allowed us to go through the sections at our own pace. We started one morning and ended by late afternoon. We loved seeing how our refund grew as we completed each section. The only thing that would have made the experience better would have been access to the IRS tax rules and instructions within the Turbo Tax environment. We had to go back and forth to IRS.gov to review the instructions for specific deductions in order to be sure we had covered everything that applied to us. We still believe our accountant might get us a better refund... but his fee will always be higher than the cost of using Turbo Tax. Otherwise, Turbo Tax is a very easy and comfortable environment to prepare your taxes. Thanks and keep up the good work!
What's great about it: Quick and easy to understand
What's not so great: Certain specific needs may not be handled by Turbo Tax
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
