Eased my fears

TurboTax is great and easy, as long as you don't have an unusual transaction. TurboTax provided accurate information on what to do with points from a previous refinancing when you refinance with the same bank, but no guidance on how to input the info. To get the right answer, I changed the terms of the existing loan to 22 years and entered a second loan for the refinancing. That forced TurboTax to continue allocating points from the first loan, but over a longer number of years. The phone guidance was encouraging, rather than specifically helpful about the right way to enter the info.
What's great about it: The numbers worked, in spite of my concerns about points from a previous refinancing.
What's not so great: No specific question about refinancing with the same bank.

Wonderful product

This is a wonderful program. It walks you thru everything. Even for someone who hasn't done it before. This is my third year and would use no other program. Thanks for helping people
What's great about it: The fact it walks you right thru it.
What's not so great: A couple of times I had to go back to find somethig.

I have used Turbo Tax for years and would not use anything else.
What's great about it: This program makes it so easy and explains things along the way, so that I don't mess up doing my taxes.

A year ago I tried a free competitor's software. After having used TurboTax for so long, I found theirs was hard to follow. Went back and filed using TurboTax as usual.
What's great about it: Simple to follow as always
What's not so great: Dislike going back to list every time add another item
