I have used TurboTax for every single tax filing I have done since I began to earn money in an official capacity! This year, I was really counting on my tax return to help me with some bills that have been growing. I was not disappointed, TurboTax found the renter's credit of an extra $53 that I never would have known to look for on my own. It makes a huge difference to me, and I wanted to write this review just to say thank you!!
What's great about it: Sooo easy!
What's not so great: I could not meet the nice looking people in the pictures throughout.

Made the K-1's easy

I liked the easy way that Turbotax guided me through input of the several K-1 forms I received. The help topics made it easier to understand the input and what really mattered.

Great program

We have used TurboTax for several years, and so far have been very pleased. We are now both retired, and although we expected our tax situation to be simpler and we wouldn't need to use a program like TurboTax, we were surprised at how complex our "simple" income tax status would be. Thank you TurboTax !!

TurboTax gets better every year!

I love the ease of filing our taxes using TurboTax. The online help is useful, although I did not need it this year, I have used it in years past.
What's great about it: easy navigation, detailed explainations of tax laws are easy to comprehend
What's not so great: Having to push through software updates in order to proceed with the last click & file our tax returns

Worked well and easily for me

Gathering up and organizing my various forms and notices from my income sources, charity giving, etc.., takes up more time than I spend on my computer with TurboTax itself.
As a returning user of TurboTax, I found it quite easy to use, since it does a very good job of transfering all the information it can from my prior year's return.
I don't pay extra for self-employment editions because my situation is fairly simple and TurboTax Deluxe handles the Schedule C just fine.
As a long-time user of Turbo Tax, I've found that I really don't cosider other options for doing my taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to use; clear instructions
What's not so great: Well, it is not free

problem with charities

Last year my son helped with my taxes and this year I did them with some minor help. I did them twice because the first time I couldn't combine Retirement income with Social Security income. The second time I did by myself and everything went fine until charities. It said it would export my charities but that was a mess. I ended up doing all my charities again. All in all everything thing turned out ok after 10 hours. I'll try again next year.
