have used TurboTax since 2000. plan to continue to use it in the future. really like it. simple to follow and like the details. do wish that TurboTax could make state filings free!
What's great about it: questions easy to understand, liked being able to read the explanations
What's not so great: wish state was free to e-file

I'm no accountant, so I was scared to death to do my taxes on my own. But TurboTax made it quick and easy. Even helped me find a tax form I didn't know what to do with and process it in their system. I feel perfectly safe filing my return with them. :-D
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: None I can think of

Got it done

This year I bought turbotax. I had a 1099-g sent to me and wasnt sure on how to file it. I had to ask someone else that I know who does taxes how to file it. Other than that it was a breeze and I liked it. I got back what I was supposed to. Knowing a professional tax person I asked how much they could get me and Turbo tax got me the same amount once everything was figured out with the 1099-g. Thanks :)
What's great about it: Quick and easy to use
What's not so great: Need more detail on what forms are what.

Went smooth as can be expected

This process took several hours but seemed to be all inclusive. I spent 20 min-half hour trying to get the state download/update to then let me work on it.
What's great about it: Intuitive and can search topics
What's not so great: Wouldn't initially let me work the state return.

Issue with state direct deposit

Turbo Tax does not ask, nor does it fill in from my Federal form, the bank information for direct deposit of my state refund due. I am paper filing with Oregon - and have to hand write in the bank routing and account numbers. This is the 2nd year I have noticed this issue.
What's great about it: Overall, Turbo Tax does a great job for me - handles a basic rental and small business
What's not so great: A little weak on the Oregon State form.

I was kinda upset that the forms I needed weren't available as soon as I entered my information, but as soon as the forms became available I was notified. Come to find out I needed to update my computer. This was the problem:( So check your computer before filing.
What's great about it: fast and easy
What's not so great: Forms not available, but updated me as soon as they were in.

I have used this product forover 10 years and it seems to me to be getting more difficult to use rather than easier. You can be sure I will probably evulate abnother produect inthe firture
