Great Experience with Turbo Tax

I have used TurboTax for many years and have yet to have a bad experience. It is straightforward and easy to use. I would (and do!) recommend it to everyone!
What's great about it: Easy, Great Explanations, Readily Accessible Expert Assistance
What's not so great: It takes a few hours to complete, but that is to be expected
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've been using Turbo Tax for many years and find it convenient and easy to maneuver through. I trust it for my simple tax situation.

Try to make the adjustment of state tax refunds for minimizing AMT a little more streamlined.
What's great about it: Overall, good guidance and easy to use.
What's not so great: Seems as though it should be a little more streamlined when running into AMT problem and trying to minimize effect.

Each year it finds my previous information and loads it so I am confirming and editing rather than starting from scratch. Edits are easy and information seems clear. You can come and go in the file as you discover items you need or want to gather. The download and opening a file is long but doable - software acknowledges that it takes time so just be patient.

Why no 1042-S?

My wife received a 1042-S and TT does not have any advice for what to do with this. Also had a few other situations where there was no advice so I just guessed and hope that it works out.
What's great about it: Have everything for a standard review
What's not so great: No 1042-S coverage
