It takes the burden out of filing your taxes. Actually functions as a teaching guide as well as tax professional.. Definitely found the experience positive.

Great product - used for many years

I've used Turbo Tax more than 10 years now - I've never had an issue or problem identified - ever! You can trust the calculations, and I especially like the checks for errors and audit flags.
There is a lot of detail on the return to help you understand exactly what you need to report for both income and deductions, which helps with making sure you don't pay any more taxes than you have to. The help system is very thorough and even provides links to online publications and support.
What's great about it: Easy to use for novice and expert levels, Accurate and can be trusted; lots of guidance/assistance

Turbo Tax is an easy way to submit your taxes. It remembers data from past years and has good data import methods to get your information from companies and financial entities. It helps you not to forget important items to add or consider. It walks you through those tax items that don't come up very often and prevents mistakes. I look forward to doing my taxes with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Makes data enrty very easy. Real forms are hidden unless you want to see them.
What's not so great: Sometimes I want to flip from IRS form to data entry and back.

A great product gets even better!

It's hard to believe that a great product could get even better, but TurboTax really did. All the minor issues I've had in the past have been corrected and doing my taxes was really easy this year. Great Job!!!

Good and Bad

Overall, reasonable tax prep software. I worry that their dumbing down of the tax language can alter meanings and would prefer a link to the exact IRS language describing the law so important points won't be lost in translation.
But my biggest irritation, year after year, is that the chartiable deductions don't list the organizations I have entered alphabetically. It would be so much easier.
And by the way, it would be nice if TT gave a hint of what format they want the date for payment of tax due in rather than making you guess.
What's great about it: transfer of prior years data is always appreciated

Love using Turbo Tax ... detailed explanations and guidance help those who don't enjoy doing taxes to complete them with accuracy.

Using Turbo Tax makes getting my taxes done so easy. They aren't complicated, but I do have lots of business deductions, etc. and it can be tricky to keep track of all those mileage rates and percentages, etc.
What's great about it: Great guidance, accurate math

Easy-to-use Software

After four years using TurboTax, I am finally relying on it completely to prepare my tax return, and am no longer reading the 1040 instructions and completing its worksheets to verify TurboTax'es results.
eFiling and ePaying (or eRefunding) will make you wonder why it took you so long to go paperless.
I try to convince all my friends to use TurboTax.
What's great about it: No bugs, no hassles, no errors.
What's not so great: Needs a quick link to 1040/1040A, even though incomplete, at any point in the process.
