Previuos Year Carry Over--State Returns

The software accurately carries over suspended losses from my K-1s on the Federal Return. I have never bothered to check the accuracy of that function on my state returns. Turns out that this has been a problem since at least 2007. After spending a day and a half updating my suspended losses I discoverd that this was still a problem in 2012. A K-1 partnership that never has losses randomly inserted carry over losses in my CA return.

TurboTax is complete, yet fast and easy. Its easy to understand and be guided through the process. I love it!
What's great about it: Took info from last year for easy comparison and no unnecessary entries.
What's not so great: None that I can think of.

Easy to understand.
Always up todate with adequate help functions. The last time I used a tax consultant, it costs me several hundred dollars in penalities. Will never do that again as long as Turbo Tax is available.

Another Year in the Can

The government worms it way into our wallet more and more each year. Until there is a major change, this legalized mugging will continue and likely get worse. Turbo Tax has helped every year make the distasteful act of complying with this onerous obligation as painless as possible. Taking it step by step with explanations along the way speed the filing process. It's never any fun, but Turbo Tax makes it easy and almost bearable.
What's great about it: Easy guide through the labyrinth of the tedious tax code.
What's not so great: Having to face the government's intrusiveness!

I have been using TurboTax since I was overseas in the 90's and I am very satisfied with the software. It deals with every aspect of my taxes, including when I was overseas, I find the interview process is great and to the point, which means not having to read a lot of information that does not apply to or interest me. Thanks for a great product!
What's great about it: Easy, quick, and thorough
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Awesome Experience!

By going through the return step by step, we were able to get a larger refund than last year when we paid someone 4 times as much to do our taxes for us. It was nice seeing the refund grow as more information was entered. It also helped me see what I could be keeping records of for 2013 for getting an even larger refund. Definitely will be using TurboTax next year.
What's great about it: Easy to follow, more refund
What's not so great: Can be overwhelming the first time

easier than pie

I have used TurboTax for at least 5 years now. I feel confident that I have done the returns correctly and maximized my tax deductions. I have not used other software products and cannot do a comparison with those products. However, I know that using TurboTax is a lot easier than trying to wade through all the tax codes, explanations, and forms on my own. I tried that once and will not try that again.
What's great about it: step-by-step with simple explanations
What's not so great: having to buy new software each year instead of an update

TurboTax is very easy to use since it walks you through all forms in a logical manner.
What's great about it: Walks you through all questions in an easy to follow manner for all tax forms
What's not so great: If you sell stocks, you will need to have a good understanding for determining cost basis
