Awkward State Process

I don't like the way the application keeps pushing additional services (at additional cost).
What's great about it: Linked to Federal Form
What's not so great: The application pushes you to e-file the state return and is very unclear about the additional cost.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

IT WAS QUICK AND EASY TO NAVIGATE THROUGH THE QUESTIONS. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF I'D HAVE KNOW LAST YEARS TAX FIGURES WERE NEEDED. THANKS

Came out positive!

I thought about filing my taxes using the standard 1040EZ and IT-40EZ forms. I filled the forms out and thought I would owe some money. After using turbo tax it turns out the federal government and state owe ME!!!
What's great about it: I'm getting money back from my federal and state returns

Easy as always

Easy to use, good prompts, answers question when you hit on help keys, easy to navigate. Takes me longer to get paperwork together than to use turbo tax for Fed and state returns

Great software, really easy to use!

I was able to run the numbers on having a home office, and determined that my home office is so small, it's not worth it. I love being able to do that! The only con -- the program kept asking me what year I first put my car into business use. I don't have a car. I guess I must have said I did somewhere? But I can't find it. Anyway, it did not matter in terms of my refund.
What's great about it: I love being able to run different scenarios easily, and to compare this year to last year.
What's not so great: Sometimes there are strange little glitches. But none that effect my tax retund.

Turbo-Tax makes this painfull process a lot easier to get done. The e-file option just makes this all so much easier.

Good program for non-tax minded people

Printing certain pages can be difficult or impossible. All pages should be accessible for individual page printing
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: hitting the back button often takes you too far back when you only want the previous screen
