Taxes Done in Record Time

Turbo Tax is a logical, well constructed product with many built -in support mechanisms. It helps you know what materials you need to assemble and also where to find information that many of the IRS regulations/ instructions are very difficult to decipher. It uses common language and also provides back-up support and research mechanisms. Keep up the good work and we'll keep using this Fine product!!
What's great about it: Step by step logic and help screens to support or explain issues
What's not so great: Importing information from past returns; could carry along a mistake or error to this year's return

TurboTax rules!!!

It's a great app! Most of it is visual, guiding and easy to use. When diving into a hairy areas of federal and mostly state deductions, online guidance suddenly vanishes.
What's great about it: Step-by-step guidance
What's not so great: Some state deductions had no explanations

first time doing my taxes all by myself. I didn't know what I was getting myself into, but the step by step instructions made it so simple. I'd recommend Turbo Tax to anyone.

Nice Tone, Bad UX

The way the program is laid out and the program's logic is inconsistent. For example, when an option says "check if any of the below apply" (paraphrased), one would assume if none apply, then you could just hit "continue", but the program forces you to click "none of the above". That is counter to web logic.

Another Tax Filing

OK, it's filing taxes. There's no getting around it, and there's sense in trying to pretend that it's fun, or anything else. It's just something that we all have to do. The circus aspect of TurboTax is getting just a little annoying. Stick to the facts, and help me get the job done as quickly as possible and get it right.
My biggest gripe is that the error checks seems rather bogus, despite being told that my return had passed all the checks, I was still stopped right before the actual filing process to remove 0.00 from a box on a W-2 that should have been left blank. Given that W-2s are entered early in the process and the number of checks that were done after it was entered (and not even looked at after initial entry), how come it took until that very last one to catch it?
Sorta leaves you wondering what all the hand-waving, bell ringing, and other mumbo-jumbo was about. It also does not leave me overly confident when internal results like that contradict one and other.
What's great about it: Short, reasonably simple
What's not so great: Some of the order things go in is a bit odd. Error checks somewhat bogus

Taxes made easy

This year I compared Turbo to another computer tax preparing software and Turbo was much easier to use and provided better deduction amounts. I'll stay with Turbo.
