Sad for standard deduction

I was sad this year to go through all the choices that turbo tax leads you to end up with the Standard deduction. But the ease in which the software works still makes me happy to use it.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is so great at taking you through all the options
What's not so great: It would be great to know what the standard deduction is up front

I've used TT for over 10 years now

I have used four programs, and landed with TT for several reasons: step-throuh works, no confusion; reasonable price (plus free QB :); imports It's Deductable (which is now free online, very good).
What's great about it: The step-by-step is truly just that - no gueswork
What's not so great: It does take "awhile" to load :)
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I HAVE BEEN USING TURBOTAX FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND IT HAS IMPROVED AND BECOME EASIER TO USE EVERY SINGLE YEAR. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK TURBOTAX!

I am a veteran (over 20 years) user of Turbo Tax. After using it for a couple of years, I talked with an IRS agent at a tradeshow about using TurboTax. He told me I had less of a chance of being audited because the IRS trusted the software programs as they didn't contain any surprises! That was convincing enough for me and I faithfully use it every year. This year I am using the program for my two teenage kids as well as my husband and myself!! Good value for the dollar I would say.
What's great about it: The step-by-step question format
What's not so great: incorrect entries can sometimes be tricky to correct

Taxes For Dummies

Data entry is both organized and logically formatted to simplify the completion process. Help screens and explanation pop-ups are available at each step to eliminate confusions on terminology. Tax form entries and filing can be done at your liesure; Stop and return when desired. Thouroughly enjoyed the painstaking confusion and work required to file my Fed taxes.
What's great about it: Easy and organized data entry, easily available help screens and error free calculations.
What's not so great: confusing 401K to IRA transfer data entry.

I've been using TurboTax for years and have never been disappointed.
It has guided me through all kinds of life changes, from being single to getting married, buying and selling a house, having children and losing a spouse, even moving from state to state.
I recommend this program to everyone.
