Great tax year

Still don't understand my IRA rollover. How to enter some deductions was different than others and not real clear.
Overall, I like the product. I have used Turbotax for several years and will continue to do so.

Painless!

So easy to use. I don't dread doing my taxes like I used to, and it doesn't take hours. Have been using Turbo Tax for 4 years now, and I will keep on using it.

Takes the fear and complexity out of tax season

Overall, I can't complain. TurboTax makes the ugly job of calculating taxes almost easy. Dare I say, enjoyable.
TurboTax breaks every question down into easy-to-understand bites (an incredible feat in itself), then they find all kinds of appropriate deductions and credits -- things that I would never have known nor had the patience to research and understand.
Since I need to gather and sort my tax documents anyway, I simply prepare that summary for Turbo Tax instead of a tax specialist. Not a significant difference in my preperation time -- but a significant difference in savings (~$400)
What's great about it: The program "talks" to you as though it were your accountant sitting on the other side of the desk.

Worry free filing

I use this for several family members of different ages and circumstances and states. I have total confidence with the selections I make going though the Turbo Tax process. I even learn a lot in terms of tax code and changes that have been made and what I can do in the future to be more financial aware. It is a great bargain.
What's great about it: Pre-filling based on prior year, all the Q&A to determine what applies.
What's not so great: I can not think of a con for my applications.

Love TurboTax - Difficult for Gay Marriage

Same as last year, Gay married's in CA have to prepare a single federal tax, then come back and prepare a marreid fedreal to do the state taxes. I hoped that turbo-tax would have simplified that process over the years! But still double work. UUUGH!

Goog Fed and State - Clunky Local

The State and Fed keep getting better the local -- not there. On one of the returns I did I just got the form nad hand filled it out - 5 minutes and right. Turbo - a mess
