Good overall, except for . . .

. . . the fact that every time I opened it this tax season, I had a new update that had to install. Besides just being an annoyance, I'm wondering what is STILL changing in the software a week out from 4/15?!
I essentially trust TurboTax to do right by me, but this isn't a way to keep that confidence indefinitely.
What's great about it: quick, accurate, simple
What's not so great: black box
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

2012 Schlessman Review

2012 was one of the most flawless versions of Turbotax with clear and quick questions that allowed us to prepare our return while moving overseas. This was very helpful since we had packed up much of our papers and had little time to prepare the tax return. Having a good list of items needed helped my wife have just the right papers needed.
The one poor thing was that for our ItsDeductible for a donated airline ticket for a church mission trip left much out and we had to fix in final error fix.
What's great about it: Quick and clear questions to get results.
What's not so great: Transfer of ItsDeductable items left key information out and had to be placed as corrections.
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments

It asks me enough questions to either jog my memory of something I've forgotten or has helped me confirm that I've covered all the bases.
What's great about it: It's virtually mistake proof. gets to the point with questions & is thorough.
What's not so great: n/a
