Really the Best Tax Software anywhere

I have been using personal tax software for longer than I can remember.... I've tried the competition, but always came back to TurboTax.
What's great about it: Very easy to understand and follow!

Should include State filing

I thought I purchased a version that included the state electronic filing since the front of the box said Federal and State Returns. I probably will not be using Turbo Tax next year since I can get them done by a service for less then the price of the CD plus the cost of filing the state electronically.
What's great about it: Easy to Follow
What's not so great: No State Electronic filing

Great Product

As always, TurboTax was by far the easiest way to file taxes. The layout, once past the pictures of random people, was fantastic and simple to deal with, while still being extremely detailed and thorough
My only comment was that it was annoying to have to continually navigate past pictures of random employees (or actors) every time I clicked on a subject to review.
What's great about it: Very easy, efficient, and thorough
What's not so great: Less navigable than previously

Easy guided approach to completing my taxes. Love the e-file feature which is free!

Turbo Tax and Me

I've been using TurboTax for more years than I can remember and I will continue to do so until I don't have to pay taxes any more. It's straight forward, easy to use and all I have to do is step through and enter the data. It just doesn't get any easier than that.

Could be much worse

Overall a very good solution for managing taxes. We used TurboTax for our 2011 taxes, and our 2011 information (personal details, taxes, etc.) were pre-populated into our 2012 forms. It was, without a doubt, easier to complete this year than last year (last year was our first year using TurboTax). The step by step guide provided by the software was a definite plus.
On the downside, going back through the step by step guide sometimes did not go back to the point I expected. Also, some areas around home refinance and retirement plan components to our itemized deduction could have, I thought, been made clearer.
Overall, though, the software is very good. We plan on going with it again for our 2013 taxes.
What's great about it: Step by step guidance; pre-filled previous year and personal information
What's not so great: Going back through the step by step was at times confusing
