TT is great

I wish I could have had TT 40 years when I first started filing taxes.
What's great about it: fast and easy to use

I am sooo confused

I live several months at a time in a different county, but I couldn't find anyway that I would divide up my time by months - which made my self-employed paperwork a nightmare. this further complicates living in MA because of the mandatory health insurance - but I was never here for more than 2 1/2 months at a time. All in all, up until this year I loved TT, but I think next year it's time for an account to wade through all this mess.
Also, I didn't realize that when I purchased the deluxe and the additional state, it didn't include e-filing! So that was a total waste of extra money.
Also I did not cover very many questions about when you live overseas....
the list of problems goes on and on...
What's great about it: not clear if you live parts of the year in another country instead of half-year continual living situations
What's not so great: was easier when I lived in one place

Great Product - Needs a Couple Tweaks

In prior years, the Easy Guide included the question "Did You Sell a House this Year?" This year, we did sell a house, not our primary residence and not a rental dwelling, and there was no where in the Easy Guide that allowed for that. I didn't want to put down the sale of a rental dwelling that didn't have any rent, but I also didn't want to miss out on being able to take advantage of the loss we incurred on the sale. Had to call and get help to find the area, which was in the software but not part of the Easy Guide. Also, I had a charitable deduction to Toys for Tots and used the national address. The program didn't like the zip code I had entered, which was absolutely correct since I found it from the US Postal Service, and the lack of a zip code the program liked kept me from being able to file. Finally deleted the contribution and chose to miss out on the deduction rather than mess with the issue any longer. Other than that, I love the software and will continue to use. Would appreciate getting those couple of glitches fixed.
What's great about it: It's easy and saves me money.
What's not so great: Easy Guide is Missing a Couple of Items

I use Turbo tax every year for my return. It always brings my data forward and walks me through the steps to a complete correct return.
What's great about it: Wals you through every step

Easiness of Filing

i do not want to pay for a tax service. i tried to do my own tax. before i used turbo, it was a nitemare. took me maybe 2 weeks of paperworks, computation, reviewing, a lot of paperworks, etc.
when i started turbo, i can do it even at the last minute, usually April. it was very easy now for me , i just have all my documents. i look forward to it. no hassle. not miuch paperworks. thanks , i did not have any problems with IRS.
i just look forward for coupon plus the store discount. that will be great!

I hate to due this process every year by using Turbo-Tax at least makes it easier and faster.
