Another year filed

Zipped through the tax filing again this year with Turbo Tax ! After 5 years, it's getting easier, especially since the "look" of the screens in the software has stayed very consistent...much nicer this way. No need to change it just because of a new year. Each year, my taxes get more complicated # added a couple of kids, new house a few years ago...now getting into HSA's and stock dividends#. As simple as just saying "yes" to the new areas and Turbo Tax guides you right through it......Thanks for another successful filing !!
What's great about it: T Tax has always been easy to use...year after year
What's not so great: would be nice to have a little calculator in it so you see if the kids will have to file taxes

Excellent workflow tool

I continue to find TurboTax a great tool in tax preparation. I have been using it since 2005 without any issue.
What's great about it: Ease of use with good solid explanation of what is expected in each field
What's not so great: Processing fee charged is excessive as the Federal side is free using other tax prep software

I use Turbo Tax every year. I don't know how I would do my taxes without it. It costs a bit much, but it still cheaper than hiring someone else to do your taxes.

I've used TurboTax the last three years and have found it valuable to me; keeping my returns current with all the changes and laws that may have changed over the previous year. I feel confident that my return is getting me the best refund possible.

Good, but room for improvement

I've been using TurboTax for many years and it continues to improve each year. However, when jumping to forms to check certain entries, I would like better information as to the source of each item - it is not clear, for example the source of the data on form 8949. I should be able to right-click and find the data source. Instead, it just brings up the generic help page which provides no enlightenment.
Also, the state instructions/help is minimal at best. For example, it is not obvious where to claim Massachusetts auto excise taxes from the instructions.
I also don't like the fact that when returning to step-by-step mode from the forms mode, it doesn't return to where I left off. Instead it seems to go back to the beginning of a major section.
I also found that after updating, the interview would return to the very beginning.
It would be helpful if there were a better "10,000 foot view" of the total interview process so that I could easily see what sections have been completed and which need work.
What's great about it: Thorough, great forms support
What's not so great: Navigation not seamless, state instructions lacking
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax plus and minus

tech support saved my day when my premiere addition failed to file or e-file my returns. tech support downloaded another edition of turbo tax (deluxe) and I was able to save all my data.
What's great about it: great tech support
What's not so great: premiere addition 2012 failed all exspectations
