Many Years, Many Happy RETURNS

Easiest Way to file Taxes

This is the fifth year I have used Turbo Tax. I am better organized each year, more confident that I am on top of the record keeping, etc. My actual time filling out the forms is shorter each year.
What's great about it: Nothing could be easier than the step by step process that Turbo Tax uses to help you organize your records & filing.
What's not so great: I love Turbo Tax, no complaints

Finally Got it Done

I did have a problem with my almost done tax return getting corrupted. I was very frustrated as I was almost done. Not sure what caused the problem.
I love how it can find my previous year's return and import information. That saves me time and hassle. The step by step instruction is so easy. I don't really know why anyone would pay big bucks to have a professional do their taxes unless they are very complex - like business etc.
I have used Turbo Tax for probably 25 years. I will continue to to use it as long as i can. I also appreciate that it is not outrageously expensive. We can afford it!

Always the easiest way to go

Year after year, it's the only way to go. The ability to import data and the content specific help menus can't be beat.

Peace of Mind

Love using Turbo Tax! Can use it onmy time without having to make appointments or pay for the preparation. Even given the opportunity to have professionals assist in case of an audit. There are plenty of helpful tips, explanations that are easy to follow, and always searching for what's going to give me the biggest refund. And, the best part of it all, it's sooooooo easy to follow.
What's great about it: Constant updates, able to pick where you left off, easy to understand explanations

Easy as pie

Very easy to use as usual. Walks you thru all the steps and doesn't let you forget anything.
What's great about it: Very easy...step-by-step...done in a snap
What's not so great: If you go back thru a section, it doesn't keep the info already entered! BUMMER if you don't catch that it's changed

OK, Generally Easy to Use

Easy transfer of data from year to year. Generally easy input of data, although some items seem to require a lot of repetitious data input from screen to screen. (ex. routine monthly sale of assets from a mutual fund).
Many calculations are made without informing me how or what factors are taken into account. (ex. "The Simplified Method" - I get a nasty letter from the IRS every year because of using the simplified method, and I have to scramble to talk my way out of trouble without knowing exactly what you did to calculate my income.
I may be getting mixed up with international assets in the coming years. I haven't looked but I think that you will not be much help. One year I tried to file a NR1040 and you offered no help at all.
All in all though, I like Turbo Tax and plan to use if again next year.

What's not so great: Does not show me how it calculates some items, such as "the simpified method". Does too much for me.

Mostly Good But...

I earned a few extra dollars for a few years writing a column and listed it in Turbo Tax as an additional business. Now every year the schedule stays in the filing against my wishes, and at the end of the process I'm told I'm at a higher risk of being audited because of the BUSINESS! You know, the one I don't have anymore. Please allow the business schedule to go away if the business does...
