I would not file my taxes any other way than with turbo tax. They ask all the questions in an easy to understand way. The step by step process gives you the comfort of mind knowing that you did everything the right way.
What's great about it: super easy

Works as Advertised

TurboTax is our trusted friend during tax season. It guides you through the process in an easy-to-understand way and if you are still confused, it offers additional assistance through various pop-ups and links.
One of the best attributes of the program, as far as we are concerned, is that you don't have to gather up all your papers and make an appointment or trip to another location. Even more important, if you forget something, you can save the return and pick up were you left off. Can't do that at a department store cubicle or someone's office!
What's great about it: Ease of Use
What's not so great: Concerning That it Sometimes Updates After You Have Filed
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Yet Another Round of Tax Filing

- No need to re-enter data from past year
- Helpful "HELP"
- 2 modes of entering data (i.e., prompts or explore on your own)
- I've used TurboTax for several years and the look and feel remains familiar and consistent. No changes for the sake of change.

I'm usually flexible and go with the flow. I believe TurboTax is set up well and asks all the right questions. If I'm stumped, I can look up an answer, get it and move on.

Refunds are good

The free filing was simple and fast. Really liked having information transferred within the return data. Not to impressed with trying to find e-addresses for importing data. Likely my bias or lack of trust. Also I called my bank on an account that had less than $10.00 interest - had to "find that out" - banks aren't required to send an interest statement out if less than $10! Overall good program.
What's great about it: Good step by step organization
What's not so great: The menu of items to "disallow" education credits left me wondering if I screwed up. Not specific enouogh.
